We are a Sámi family who live off the land in Finnmark - In the northernmost region of Norway.
Reindeer husbandry is not only our livelihood, it is our life and passion!
We combine our reindeer husbandry
with tourism. The tourism has a season of four months during the winter and two months in the summer. We do not do mass tourism but want to offer authentic tours with unique educational experiences for single visitors and small groups.
In the winter, our reindeer are at a place called Šuorbmu (sámi languange, pronounced Shuorbmu). This place is located in the inner part of Finnmark. To
show how much this place means for us we have chosen to call our new tourism business ARCTIC ŠUORBMU. One of the reasons for this is that the family has used the place as winter pastures for the familys reindeer herd for generations.
The summer pasture for our reindeer is on Sørøya. This is Norways 4th largest island.
